Escape Manila for a day and get a memorable beach and island experience only 2.5 hours away. Cruise around on a speedboat to visit white sandy beaches, vibrant coral reefs and spectacular seaside cliffs.
Overview
The Philippines is world renowned for its beaches and one of the country's most popular beach destinations is only a couple hours' drive south of Manila. Nasugbu is the beach getaway of Manila residents who are fortunate enough to have a vacation house in one of its private seaside developments. To truly enjoy Nasugbu, however, you don't really need a house. What you need is a boat — a fast one. The Nasugbu coastline is over 20 miles (32 kilometers) of coves, cliffs, coral reefs and beaches and we visit its best spots in a day thanks to our 150 horsepower Trevally speedboat. This tour gives you the full Philippine beach experience and is a quick, easy and unforgettable escape from the city of Manila.

Day 1: To and back from Nasugbu
We pick you up at your hotel early in the morning and drive south to Nasugbu. Along the way we stop at a scenic viewpoint that overlooks the West Philippine Sea. After about 2.5 hours we arrive at a private marina where our boat is waiting for us. After a quick safety briefing we speed on to Loren Island, our first destination. This island is surrounded by coral reefs and our boat can’t dock on shore so we swim to get to its beach of fine white sand.
After Loren Island we head back towards the mainland and cruise along breathtaking cliffs that include Bird’s Nest, a 150+ foot (45+ meter) rock wall that birds call home. Not far from this massive wall is a small arch that is fun to swim under. In the water below this arch is an interesting sinkhole and tunnel in the rock that can be explored with a long breath hold.
We then visit La Germania, a long strip of white sand and the best swimming beach of our trip. We can have lunch here or wait until we walk up a nearby lighthouse and have our meal with a spectacular view of the Nasugbu coastline and its mountains in the background.
After the lighthouse we head on to a marine sanctuary and snorkel to see giant clams and hundreds of colorful tropical fish. Our farthest destination is an awe-inspiring rock arch that towers over 80 feet (24 meters) over the water. We swim through this arch and marvel at the creativity of nature before we head back towards the marina to North Twin Island, our final destination. This island has a huge cavern over deep water and is an excellent — and intimidating — place for cliff diving. The daring can jump into a 30 foot (9 meter) or even 50 foot (15 meter) drop and the prudent can simply admire the stark beauty of the island and call it a memorable day regardless.
Back at the marina we shower to rinse off the salt before driving back to Manila.
